Zach is a Senior Research Engineer who has been with ThermoAnalytics for over four years. Zach is TAI's resident battery expert and the chief engineer of the TAITherm battery extension. He is involved in thermal/electric and thermal/CFD simulation, advanced physics modeling, algorithm development, and multi-physics coupling. He developed the TAI-NREL battery lifetime simulation approach and has given numerous presentations at international conferences on battery cycle life modeling, battery thermal runaway modeling, and battery thermal management. In 2013, he received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering-Engineering Mechanics at Michigan Technological University.
