Michael Kleinberg, PhD. is the Head of Section for DNV GL’s Distributed Energy Resources (DER) and Energy Storage team. Michael has over 10 years of industry experience specializing in energy storage, microgrids, and hybrid renewables. Michael has a recognized track record providing engineering analysis and technical due diligence services in the field of energy storage and aggregated DER. Michael’s clients include regulators, utilities, market operators, project developers, and grid edge solution providers. Michael is leading DNV GL’s technical due diligence efforts to support investment in both large-scale and distributed energy storage projects being deployed across the US. Michael received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University in 2015.
