Joel is responsible for the growth and profitability of AEP’s customer-centric, energy asset solution business – AEP OnSite Partners. Since its beginning in 2015, Joel has built the team and had oversight responsibility for all development, valuation, engineering, project management, operations, and account management activities of the business. Joel has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry in leadership positions with Primary Energy, Integrys Energy Services, Trillium CNG, and AEP. In these different roles, Joel has had hands-on experience with a number of different types of energy assets including traditional fossil fuel fired generation, renewables projects such as wind, solar, hydro, and biomass, and newer technologies like energy storage and fuel cells. Joel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Economics from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and a Masters of Business Administration with a focus on Finance from The Ohio State University.
