Ronit Pinto is the founder and CEO of Honeysuckle Magazine, a nationally-distributed print and digital magazine that explores subjects in sustainability, social issues, culture, and spirituality. As Honeysuckle’s founder, Ronit is one of the chief figures responsible for spearheading the first Times Square advertising campaign on New Year’s Eve to openly feature cannabis and hemp brands. Ronit founded Honeysuckle in 2013 as a digital publication; its first print editions were published in 2015. A sister site for younger readers, Honeysuckle Girl, was soft-launched in 2018. Honeysuckle is now nationally distributed in Barnes and Noble, Books A Million, and other major retailers, as well as digitally on Zinio, Amazon, and Apple News. The Honeysuckle app is available on iTunes and GooglePlay. (Honeysucklemag.com) Outside of Honeysuckle, Ronit has contributed journalistic features and editorial work to publications including Clear Magazine, Allure, The Jerusalem Post, NY Arts Magazine, HOUR Detroit, Detroit Jewish News, Styleline Magazine, Ambassador Magazine, 4c, and Black Excellence Online. Also a filmmaker and cofounder of the media production company Blck Neon, she has had extensive experience in the visual and performing arts as director, writer, producer, creative director and more. As a filmmaker Ronit has helmed acclaimed shorts, music videos and commercials, including Eodipus (NYC Independent Film Festival), Go! (Los Angeles Underground Film Festival), and Murder’s Sweet Scent (AltFest NYC). Most recently she co-produced Overlay, which premiered at the 2018 Cannes Short Film Corner. Her work can also be seen in features such as the Scream and Transformers series, Demolition, and Only Lovers Left Alive.
