Mr. Herling has been involved extensively in the development of the PJM regional transmission expansion planning process and resource adequacy planning process. Recently, he has been actively involved in the development of a number of new backbone transmission projects on the PJM system as well as efforts to enhance coordination of planning activities across ISO/RTO boundaries. Prior to joining PJM, Mr. Herling worked for the General Public Utilities Service Corporation in systems operations and the American Electric Power Service Corporation in bulk transmission planning.
