Peter Gibson is head of the Energy Storage Solutions (ESS) business in North America for LG Chem. His responsibilities include managing a team of 20 dedicated ESS sales, project management, field technicians, and engineering personnel that support the company’s range of stationary battery products, from 10kWh residential units to the largest GWh grid-scale systems. Since 2013 when Peter joined LG Chem, the company has delivered approaching 300 energy storage systems for front-of-the-meter or behind-the-meter installations, and more than 25,000 residential batteries to NA customers. Peter represents LG Chem on the Energy Storage Association’s Leadership Circle and is a Board member of the California Energy Storage Alliance. Professional experience includes assignments focused on traditional and emerging energy technologies in Europe, SE Asia and North America. He earned a first-class honors degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in the UK.
