Ignacio Fernandez Stearns (Lead, Global Infrastructure and Energy Strategy at Google) is responsible for data center electric infrastructure, energy supply, and procurement to maintain a 100% renewable energy match of Google's global energy consumption. Prior to Google, Ignacio was a solar project developer at Siemens AG and an investment officer at the Inter-American Development Bank, where he structured financing for renewable energy projects throughout Latin America. He has also held roles at Duke Energy in renewable energy strategy, portfolio management, power plant engineering. Ignacio holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Florida and an M.A. in international finance from Johns Hopkins University.
