Elder Abuse Law Advocates


After six years working for the Social Security Administration in Boston, Mr. Weil headed west and a new career in the nonprofit world of museums. He was at the Children’s Museum of San Diego for ten years and opened the Computer Museum of America where he served as executive director for ten years. In 2006, in another career shift, he came to Elder Law & Advocacy as controller and in August, 2007 assumed the duties of HICAP Program Manager. The HICAP program provides Medicare and long-term care insurance counseling services to Medicare beneficiaries or those about to become eligible for Medicare. These services are provided throughout San Diego and Imperial counties free of charge utilizing a cadre of volunteer counselors, all of whom are registered with the California Department of Aging.
