Richard DePaola a Senior Retirement Benefits Counselor at CalPERS and has been with the organization for more than six years. As a counselor, Richard provides one-on-one retirement sessions as well as presenting retirement classes. His goal at CalPERS is to ensure you know and understand your benefits, with the intent that when you are ready to retire, you do so confident in your retirement decisions. Richard graduated from UC San Diego with a bachelor’s in Political Science. Prior to CalPERS, he worked as a Procurement and Contracts Administrator with Westfield LLC, and as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps.
