Scared of my Shadow LLC


Alisa is the owner of Scared of my Shadow LLC, a boutique purveyor of hauntingly beautiful leather masks, headdresses and accessories. The SOMS mission is to create original, high quality/high functioning work while mentoring the next generation of leather craftspeople and maker-based entrepreneurs, particularly early career women in the arts. Her professional expertise spans working as a theatrical designer creating work for over 200 regional productions, designing, sculpting and building for the haunt industry for nearly a decade and producing a number of original theatrical pieces-all in tandem with being a college professor. As an educator, she teaches a range of courses in theatre design and technology as well as foundations classes in art, 3D printing and digital fabrication, and entrepreneurship in the arts apprenticeships. Alisa has also led a number of industry related workshops and is thrilled to squeeze in time to travel and participate in professional development classes/workshops whenever possible. Finding the time can be tricky as she is also the resident costume designer and costume shop manager at Arcadia University in the greater Philadelphia area.
