Crystal Brewe is a member of the executive leadership team at the Kimmel Cultural Campus (KCC), which is home to eight resident performing arts organizations and the world-renowned Philadelphia Orchestra. As the Senior Vice President for Strategic Marketing and Communications, she is responsible for a wide range of key initiatives ranging from revenue-building opportunities to community-driven programs. With an M.A. in PR/Communications and Organizational Change, and over twenty years’ experience in marketing for national clients in the visual and performing arts industries, Brewe has played a leadership role in various divisions ranging from programming to fundraising and marketing. Board member for the International Ticketing Association, Brewe serves as a mentor and a catalyst for innovation in the industry of arts and live entertainment. She presents regularly at national conferences in the areas of community engagement, diversity and inclusion, PR, and customer journey. In her current role, Brewe directly oversees audience development, communications, and research/analysis. She was instrumental during the COVID-19 pandemic in helping KCC successfully navigate uncharted territory while its doors were closed. She works closely with the programming team to oversee event feasibility, ensuring each program reflects the spirit and interests of the region. In 2017, KCC selected Crystal to lead the development of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategy. Her thoughtful leadership has been instrumental in operationalizing better engagement with the staff and community. Brewe’s work building relationships within the community has led to innovative partnerships, revenue records, and benchmarks in audience development. She has an extensive background in the field of cultural tourism, having taught graduate-level courses at the University of Miami. Brewe lives in East Falls, Philadelphia with her two teenage daughters and her husband, Dr. Eric Brewe.
