Susan Brooks-Young has been involved in the field of instructional technology as a teacher, site administrator, and technology specialist. As a computer mentor, technology specialist, and now professional development provider she continues to explore ways technology can be used to facilitate student learning. Her recent book, Pathways to Well-Being: Helping Educators (and Others) Find Balance in a Connected World is co-authored with Sara Armstrong and reflects her interest in helping educators address the unexpected consequences of technology use and increase positive connections, which ultimately lead to enhanced well-being. A former English and Social Studies teacher, helping adults and students become informed media consumers is another special area of interest for Susan. Her latest book, The Media-Savvy Middle School Classroom: Strategies for Teaching Against Disinformation, was released in October of 2020. Susan works with educators internationally, focusing on practical technology-based strategies for personal productivity and effective technology implementation in schools.
