Duke TIP



Traci Guidry is the Southwest Regional Manager and Texas representative of the Duke University Talent Identification Program (Duke TIP). Her satellite office was created in 2005 to more directly respond to the needs of Texas parents and educators of the gifted, as approximately 30% of total Duke TIP participation hails from the Lone Star State. Prior to Duke, Ms. Guidry served TAGT (Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented) as their Director of Public Affairs where she assisted in monitoring Texas legislative mandates for gifted ed and became increasingly versed in functions of the Texas public school system in relation to advanced academics. She continues to help expose parents, educators, and students to the extensive gifted education resources within the Duke University network and beyond and is thrilled to utilize her expertise and connections as past president of the board of Austin Gifted and ACE Academy, Texas' only all-gifted school.
