House of Shine, a 501(c)3, was founded by Dr. Claudia K. Beeny in 2014. Their mission is to help people unearth and harness their talents and gifts for the greater good of their communities. Katie Kolkmeier currently serves as the Director of Curriculum, responsible for implementation of school-based programs and initiatives. "We started this vision in 2007 as a simple blog hoping to inspire people to be their very best. Twelve years later, our method supports Social Emotional Learning and Redefining Readiness initiatives around the country. The shine message is built on the premise that inside every person is a contribution waiting to be made."
