Cora Brumley
Commissioner
Little East Conference

As Little East Conference Commissioner, Cora H.L. Brumley has been responsible for the LEC’s strategic leadership and governance; fiscal, program and human resource management; advocacy and outreach; and revenue generation in support of its nine core and (soon to be) seven affiliate member public New England institutions. Brumley credits her rapid ascent to leadership roles (Athletic Director and Commissioner within 10 years of becoming an intercollegiate athletics professional) to her participation in the NCAA Division III Ethnic Minority & Women's Internship program, her mentors and comprehensive education. She has enjoyed the good fortune that each organization she has served has produced NCAA Division III Champion teams during her tenure: LEC member UMass Boston – Women’s Indoor & Outdoor Track & Field (2018); Oswego State – Men’s Ice Hockey (2007); UW-Whitewater – Women’s Volleyball (2002, 2005) and Baseball (2005). Prior to joining the LEC, Brumley served as Athletic Director at the State University of New York, Oswego and began her intercollegiate athletics administration career at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (where she received an MBA in marketing and a BBA in international economics, earning induction into several prestigious honor societies).
