Barak Hermesh is a Principal Engineer in the strategy and technology office of the Connected Home Division at Intel, with responsibilities for future networking technologies planning and for future software for communication devices. Barak has more than 18 years of experience in R&D, leadership, system architecture and strategic planning in the telecommunication industry. Over the course of his career he worked with Microsoft, Texas Instruments and Intel on a wide variety of technical aspects of telecommunication products with focus on cable and home networking technologies. His current work focuses on virtualization of the home and access networks, integration of cable technologies with 5G technologies and future software platforms. Barak holds a MSc. degree in Computer Science from the Israel Institute of Technology at Haifa, Israel.
