Tim Cotton, IT Auditor comes to the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) from Video Gaming Technologies (VGT), an Aristocrat Technologies Company with over 8 years of Class II gaming experience. Tim has a technical background notably in Software Quality Assurance and Engineering where he tested Class II gaming systems and multiple vendor backend accounting systems. Tim also worked with the various certification labs on servers, pay tables and system support. As a Technical Compliance Manager with VGT Tim’s responsibilities included internal and tribal interoperability lab testing as well as compliance training and working with Operators and Gaming Commissions on real-time updates of product issues and revocations. Outside of Gaming Tim’s background includes analyst and engineering roles with oil and gas, banking and car rental, to management roles in the business process outsourcing industry. Tim holds an undergraduate degree from Langston University and received a certificate as Certified Test Manager through International Institute of Software Testing.
