Michael has been with the Commercial Real Estate Certification Institute (CRECI) as Assistant Director since its creation in 2019. Michael has more than 20 years experience developing education and credentialing programs to help propel the career of commercial real estate professionals. Prior to CRECI, Michael worked for BOMI International developing certificate and designation programs for the commercial real estate industry. He has worked with more than 100 of the industry’s leading minds to create courses and study aids that advance the industry through education. Michael has been an innovator throughout his career, helping launch BOMI’s first webinars in 2003, first online courses, and newest designation, the BOMI-HP. He oversaw efforts to comprehensively update all BOMI courses to infuse sustainabiity throughout the curriculum. In addition to developing education programs for BOMI, Michael has penned over 150 articles on commercial real estate, as well as on topics such as editing, health, and fitness. Michael holds the Certified Credentialing Professional certification through the Institute for Credentialing Excellence, and a Master’s Degree in Publications Design. In his spare time, Michael is a fitness and martial arts instructor. He holds a black belt in Tang Soo Do and a blue belt in Brazilian Jui Jitsu. He also serves as a volunteer Board member for Vegan Leaders in Corporate Management and for the Edgar Allan Poe House and Museum in Baltimore.
