Immigration Compliance Associates, LLC


Scott F. Cooper is an immigration attorney with over three decades of experience. A former Partner with a global immigration law firm managing immigration legal services in Chicago, Detroit and Dubai, he is now based in Madison, Wisconsin and owner of Immigration Compliance Associates, LLC. He has served as immigration counsel to Fortune 100 companies, investors and entrepreneurs, higher education and research institutions and foundations

He has taught immigration at the IIT/Chicago-Kent, University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He has also been a faculty member for the Illinois and Michigan Institutes of Continuing Legal Education. Scott has testified before the US Congress on immigration matters and been sought as an expert resource by media including CNN, Bloomberg and NPR.

Scott has served on the Board of Directors for the Association of International Practical Training and authored and edited publications on immigration topics and been a speaker at conferences of a variety of global mobility, legal and international education associations including the Society of Human Resource Managers, the Council for Global Immigration, the Employee Relocation Council, the American Society of Employers, NAFSA: Association of International Educators and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
