Marcela Andres

designEDengagement


Marcela is an architect of dreams and one of her deepest beliefs is the power of family engagement in the life of every child. Marcela serves as the President and CEO of designEDengagement, PBC, and is relentlessly dedicated to making a positive impact in communities across the globe through her ability to forge strong relationships among educators, families, and communities.

Prior to opening an education-consulting firm, Marcela served as the Program Director of Raising Family Partnerships with Raise Your Hand Texas, a fierce public education advocacy organization in Texas. There she led the research, design, and implementation of a state-wide family engagement fellowship working alongside 26 schools principals and their leadership teams to design strategic family engagement plans. Marcela also served as the Founding Operations Manager supporting the opening of four charter schools under the KIPP National network in Austin. In that role she oversaw the schools’ operations, which included designing the communication strategy between the educators and families.

Marcela is a graduate of Saint Edward's University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Harvard Graduate School of Education with a Master's in Education.
