David Goodwin is Director of Product Management, Consumer Premises Equipment (CPE) at ARRIS, focused on North American Cable operator video devices and emerging products. With over 20 years’ experience in the digital video industry, David works with customers, ARRIS engineering, R&D and operations teams that have brought to market and shipped millions of DVRs, HD set-tops and Wi-Fi client set-top boxes that now incorporate 4K and HDR video, immersive audio, Bluetooth, RF4CE and other technologies. David joined ARRIS from Motorola in 2013, where he worked for 9 years in Product Management and Principal Systems Engineering roles. Previously, David worked in Digital Video and Embedded systems software and management at Panasonic, on the first ATSC HD set-top along with satellite and cable devices, and was part of the early development and integration team of CableCARD host products. David holds a BS in Computer Engineering from Penn State and an MS in Engineering Management from Drexel University and is co-inventor on 5 US Patents in the Digital Video field.
