Matthew Olson is vice president and managing director of the Networks, Integration and Automation Group at Burns & McDonnell. Matthew has over 18 years of experience in wireless telecommunications systems for critical infrastructure networks, enterprise and carrier network design, He is focused on building out private LTE and fiber networks for utilities and carriers. He has architected, designed, tested, built and cutover communications facilities. These networks private wireless networks provided end-users quality of service and sub-50ms protection at gigabit speeds; and provided committed information rate data services, MPEG-4 video over IP, and quality of service managed voice over IP services. Throughout his career, Matthew has supervised the design of over 1,000 sites of communication equipment deployment, planned network construction with hundreds of nodes being installed per year. He has also developed industry-leading documentation systems that allows for fast, holistic document management and ultimately reduces cost by having a single source of truth for an entire network.
