Piero Lissoni is an architect*, designer, and art director. In 1986 with Nicoletta Canesi, he founded the interdisciplinary studio Lissoni Associati in Milan, focusing on architecture, interior design, and product design. In 2015, he established Lissoni Inc. in New York to take on an expanding list of projects throughout the Americas. Today, the Lissoni team comprises 80 specialists in architecture, branding, graphic, interior, and product design working on a diverse portfolio of projects, from luxury resorts and private homes to furniture and lighting. The spectrum of projects also includes hospitality and retail. Lissoni designed the Grand Hotel Billia in Saint Vincent (2013-2014); the Conservatorium Hotel, Amsterdam’s former Conservatory of Music (2011-2012); the Hotel Bellariva, an historic manor house on Garda Lake transformed into an elegant hotel (2010); the presidential suites for The Pierre Hotel in New York (2010) and for The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai (2010); the Mamilla Hotel in the Old City of Jerusalem (2009); and the eight-story Benetton flagship store in Kadıköy, Istanbul (2009). He has collaborated with fashion brands including Benetton, Gallo, Santandrea, Serapian, and Elie Tahari. Piero Lissoni’s architecture and design work is recognized worldwide and has earned a series of international awards, including the Good Design Award, the Red Dot Award, the Compasso D’Oro ADI/Association for Industrial Design, the Elle Décor International Design Award and the Wallpaper Design Award. Lissoni is a guest lecturer and member of the Advisory Board at the Milan Politecnico. Lissoni is a licensed architect in New York State and he was inducted into the New York Interior Design Hall of Fame. He was also nominated as an Honorary Member of the Altagamma International Council.
