Jack has been working in the wind energy industry since 1982, first as meteorologist at US Windpower and then at Howden Wind Parks, and has been a consultant since 1989, when he established his company, RAM Associates. He has made a number of contributions toward improving the accuracy of wind measurements, as well as wind speed modeling with the development of the RAMWind model, and wind farm wake modeling. When he is not being a Wind-Weenie he enjoys the great outdoors, good IPA, and playing guitar, slide guitar, mandolin, Dobro and harmonica in one of the four bands in which he is active. His ideal date is simple: blues, brews and BBQ!
