Katrina Carter-Tellison joined the College of Arts and Sciences as an assistant professor of Sociology in the fall of 2004. She began her career at Lynn by teaching Sociology courses, including Contemporary Social Problems, Race and Ethnic Concerns and Current Perspectives in Substance Abuse. In 2006 she was promoted to chair of the Department of Criminal Justice. More recently, Carter-Tellison has worked as the chair of Lynn's new core curriculum: The Dialogues of Learning. In addition to participating in the development and implementation of the new core, she developed and taught a course in the Dialogues of Learning titled "America' Journey towards Equality in the US: From King to Obama."
