Ron provides guidance to NPPD for NERC CIP compliance activities. He brings over 27 years of electric utility experience and 36 years of IT experience to the position. He has been involved with the CIP standards since their inception. Prior to joining the NPPD compliance group he was a subject matter expert for several CIP standards at NPPD’s transmission control center. He is actively involved in the Midwest Reliability Organization (MRO) region and coauthored three CIP application guides (CIP V3, CIP-002-5.1, and CIP-010-2 R1 & R2) for the MRO.
