Dr. Powell-Cope, recently retired from the Tampa VA as Co-Director of the Center of Innovation on Disability and Rehabilitation Research has 20 years of experience in safe patient handling and mobility and is passionate about widespread implementation throughout all of healthcare. She has research expertise in community reintegration for persons with disabilities, patient falls and fall-related injuries, bed-rail entrapments, safe patient handling and mobility, implementation research, program evaluation and qualitative research methods.
