Xu Duan joined Tesla in January 2018 as an Ergonomist after two internships with the Tesla Ergonomics team. She received her master degree in Human Factors Engineering and Ergonomics in Virginia Tech and published her master thesis in the “Frontiers in Physiology” journal with a focus on muscle variability. At Tesla, she is continually helping reduce ergonomic risks in collaboration with engineering teams from Powertrain, Production Control and Packaging, and setting up standards to drive early implementation of ergonomics in design.
