Nicki represents K-12 public and charter schools on a wide range of education and employment law matters. As former general counsel at the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), she provides valuable insight and counsel to school districts on state-level regulation and reform initiatives. While at ISBE, she facilitated state-wide working groups on data security as it relates to student privacy. She has remained actively involved in the state legislation on this issue since joining the firm, and she represents and counsels schools on the full range of education technology legal issues they face. Nicki is a frequent speaker on school law matters, specifically on student data security and privacy .
