Mark Stoelinga earned his Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Washington in 1993. He became a recognized expert on mesoscale meteorology, numerical weather prediction, cloud physics, and climate impacts while on faculty at the University of Washington. He has been at 3TIER and Vaisala since 2009, where he develops and tests techniques for renewable assessment and forecasting.
