Derek Rieckmann oversees all geographic information system (GIS) activity as Director of GIS at Midco. Since joining the company in 2009, he has played a leading role in implementing a new GIS strategy that enables GNSS mapping of the Midco network, driving new opportunity in many business processes. Rieckmann has over 10 years of experience in utility GIS roles. He earned his bachelor’s in geography from the University of Northern Iowa and his masters in geography from Western Illinois University.
