As the Head of RAN Evolution for Ericsson North America, Bill has been responsible for driving radio technology change and adoption across all North American wireless operators. He works with carriers to enhance their competitive position by strategically applying cutting edge technology to modernize their networks and expand their customer offerings. In that role, Bill leverages his extensive knowledge of LTE, 5G and related areas. He has a broad background with more than 25 years of experience in wireless and communications systems spanning the areas of radio, core and services. Bill has held a variety of technology and leadership roles including solutions sales, product management, engineering, research and development, and technology trials for Ericsson, Nortel Networks and McDonnell Douglas. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, along with an MBA and Master’s Degree in Information Management from Washington University in St. Louis.
