Ron Wolfe has been in the cable industry since 1978, having held numerous positions with service providers and suppliers in a wide array of technical leadership roles, including RF, HFC, optics, digital video, DOCSIS, RFoG, EPON, and technical team leadership. Ron is Senior Director of Engineering for Charter Communications in Denver. Prior to joining Charter in 2014, Ron spent six years in product management and strategy at Aurora Networks, and six years as Vice President of worldwide solutions engineering at BigBand Networks. Ron was one of the innovators responsible for the early rollout of HFC-based HSD services, for @Home Network. Prior to that, Ron was with Time Warner Cable for nearly 20 years, in numerous engineering, and management roles. Ron is a Senior Member of SCTE, Region 2 Director and National Board Member. He has previously been honored as the Society’s Member of the Year. He is also a member of IEEE and has authored, and presented papers for both organizations.
