Garey is an architect specializing in linear IP video delivery services for Comcast during the past 3 years. He is responsible for creating and designing the latest linear IP delivery services deployed in Comcast and its’ partner MSOs. Prior to joining Comcast, Garey partcipated in a number of initiatives for the cable industry while at CableLabs. He contributed to multiple internet of things (IoT) standard organizations and the integratation open source software components into the RDK-B project. In addition, he has conducted research and experiments using Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, RFiD, and facial recognition technologies for a variety of applications potentially beneficial to the industry. Garey leveraged his expertise in voice-over-IP standards to design and write an open source tool to test and certify PacketCable 2.0 equipment. Before transitioning to cable, Garey led several sofware teams deployment of projects for companies in telecommunications and signal intelligence industries.
