Brad Nelson

Idaho National Laboratory


Brad leads a diverse portfolio of projects and strategic initiatives for Idaho National Laboratory. These projects and initiatives are focused on energy sector communication, grid modernization, critical infrastructure interdependency analysis and strategic planning for the Department of Energy, the Department of Homeland Security, industry and other federal stakeholders. Brad has close to 30 years of industry experience including 17 years at Itron, 6 years at Tantalus and 6 years working for Idaho National Laboratory. Brad holds a BA in Business Administration with an emphasis on Management Information Systems and Finance. Brad also holds a Master of Business Administration from Gonzaga University. Brad’s research is focused on the integration of new information and communication technology with advanced energy systems to enable a more secure and sustainable energy future.
