Rebecca Gadberry, FMSCC, is a dynamic, highly acclaimed educator, award-winning journalist and cosmetic industry leader who is valued as one of the U.S. skin care industry’s preeminent ingredient authorities. Rebecca is the first marketing fellow of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists (FMSCC); the founder, senior instructor and program director of the industry-acclaimed Cosmetic Sciences program at UCLA Extension in Los Angeles since 1986; the former CEO of YG Laboratories, manufacturers of high performance skincare for niche and professional brands worldwide; and the 13th licensed esthetician in the state of California. During her 45-year career, she has developed over 1300 cosmetic products sold nationally and internationally in the spa, medical, on-air, direct or natural product channels, has published over 600 articles in consumer and professional journals, and has taught cosmetic science to thousands of industry professionals. In 2019, Rebecca returned from retirement to resume teaching cosmetic sciences at UCLA and directing YG Lab’s Research & Development and Education programs.
