James (Jay) Hyland is a Master Professional and Vice President for TranSystems Corporation in Kansas City. Jay has been employed by TranSystems Corporation and its predecessor JBM Engineers for 25 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering and a Masters of Civil Engineering from the University of Kansas. Jay is a member of AREMA Committee 8 – Concrete Structures, currently Chairman of Subcommittee 1 – Design and member of the Ad-Hoc committee for HSR Structures. Jay lives in Olathe, Kansas with his wife Deanna.
