Karen J. Bernstein is the Managing Partner of Bernstein IP, which counsels its Cannabis and Hemp clients to navigate the complex world of patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, and the Internet. Her firm also helps clients with packaging and labeling compliance. Karen is admitted to practice law in Colorado, New York, and Pennsylvania. Before heading to law school, Karen was an executive in the advertising business, as well as having been a personal manager to a major recording artist. She also co-wrote of a Top-10 Hit song in Europe that made Billboard Magazine’s Hot 100. Today, Karen brings her unique background and skills to the practice of intellectual property and business law. Her firm is an active member of the National Cannabis Industry Association, and Karen is past Chair of the Packaging and Labeling Committee (PLC). Throughout the years, major media have reached out to Karen about her legal opinions on issues facing the Cannabis industry, and she is a sought-after speaker at Cannabis industry events.
