Sabrina Fendrick is a seasoned cannabis professional with over ten years of national and state political, industry and advocacy experience. She currently serves as the Director of Government Affairs for California-based Berkeley Patients Group (BPG), the nation’s oldest, continuously operating dispensary in the country. Sabrina works on a state and municipal level acting as a liaison between the company, legal experts, regulators, lawmakers, and the public. She engages political and industry stakeholders regarding the development and implementation of cannabis policies such as local ordinances, legislation, and regulations. Among her various policy efforts, Sabrina assisted with the development of Proposition 64 - The Adult Use of Marijuana Act and actively involved with the state’s regulatory process since the inception of the California Bureau of Cannabis Control. In early 2018, she led the notably successful effort to cut Berkeley’s local adult-use cannabis tax rate in half. Sabrina has also managed a wide range of business development projects and expansion efforts for the company. Before her arrival at BPG in 2015, she spent seven years at the Washington D.C. based National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML). Sabrina is a member of the California Cannabis Industry Association Retail Committee and served as its chair from 2017-2019.
