Sara Presler is an attorney and graduate of Northern Arizona University and Michigan State University. She clerked for the Michigan Attorney General, State of Michigan Office of Administrative Law and Federal Relations, and the Michigan State University General Counsel’s Office. In 2005, Sara began practicing as a public defender in Arizona representing abused children and seriously mentally ill patients. Sara was twice elected Mayor of Flagstaff, Arizona and was the youngest person and first woman to ever hold the office. Through appointment by the Governor, Sara has served on numerous state and regional commissions, including the Governor’s Homeland Security Council. Following her service in public office, Sara served as the CEO of a medical company responsible for patient billing, collections, and physician credentialing. In 2013, Sara was selected as CEO of the Arizona Foundation for Women and guided the nonprofit to earn a landmark grant from the NFL Foundation. In 2015, Sara began working full time in the cannabis industry. Sara is General Counsel for Mohave Cannabis Co. and Debbie’s Dispensary--a multi-state, vertically integrated cannabis company. Sara is the owner of two marijuana licenses in Ohio and previously a Board Member of six marijuana licenses in Arizona. She served on the Board of the Arizona Dispensaries Association and now chairs its Compliance Committee. She consults for cannabis companies, government leaders, and investors in the areas of strategy, licensing, and compliance.
