Colin has more than 20 years of commercial and residential real estate experience, specializing in research and consulting and land use planning and regulation. He currently serves as CBRE’s Director of Research and Analysis for the Northern California Region. In that role, he is responsible for generating market insight and intelligence and ensuring that clients receive the most thorough, timely and strategic research information, in a way that guides decision making and identifies risks and opportunities. Through years of experience in analyzing real estate market trends and economics, conducting development feasibility, and crafting land use policy from both the private and public sectors, Colin has gained a unique perspective into the real estate business and is recognized as a leading real estate market expert. He’s frequently called upon to evaluate real estate industry facts, figures and reports for news media commentary and is regularly quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, San Francisco Chronicle, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Business Times and national and regional real estate industry publications. Colin joined CBRE with extensive real estate experience and a leading voice for insightful market trend analysis. Colin began studying Northern California real estate markets in 2000 and most recently worked for Jones Lang LaSalle in San Francisco. Prior to that, he worked in Honolulu, Hawaii for that State’s urban redevelopment agency and a private real estate research and consulting firm.
