La Wanda brings to the Cannabis Industry 10 years of business consulting experience. She is the first Technical Assistant Consultant with a government contract to work with Equity Applicants in the State of California. Her firm was awarded an Equity Assistance contract by the City of Oakland three years in a row. La Wanda helps entrepreneurs legitimize their cannabis business and obtain local and state licenses with business planning and development. She and her husband Zachary, an Oakland lawyer and Vice Chair of the City of Oakland’s Cannabis Regulatory Commission, co-authored the guidebook, Medical Cannabis, and Safety Act – The Ultimate Guide to California State Licenses available on Amazon.
