Emma Arismendy is a former Computer Science Engineer, with vast experience in the system development industry for both communications and insurance companies. She has been a technology teacher for over 20 years. Arismendy joined the Miami Dade Public School system in 2005 and has been teaching at Arvida Middle School since 2010. Her business background instilled a desire to teach students that technology is not only for entertainment, but a great ally for any task in life. Her lessons are based on actual situations which allow students to apply their new-found knowledge to real life scenarios. As a Computer Science Engineer, she strongly believes that anyone should learn how to code.
