Bernie Lorenz, PhD, is Chief Science Officer for ProKure Solutions, where he applies an advanced chemistry background and passion for sustainability to make ProKure products approachable to cultivation professionals. As one of the industry’s most seasoned experts on ClO₂, Dr. Lorenz recently led the effort as technical contact for a new ASTM International standard aimed at establishing cleaning and disinfecting protocols for indoor and greenhouse cannabis cultivation facilities. Prior to joining ProKure, Dr. Lorenz worked at a Phoenix-based company manufacturing and selling “conscious” chemicals, and has also worked as a research scientist in pharmaceutical testing. Dr. Lorenz has a PhD and a Master’s in Inorganic Chemistry from New Mexico State University. He resides in Phoenix with his wife and two kids.
