Gregory has been with the fire department for 27 years, the first 10 as a firefighter. From there he was promoted to fire prevention, where he has been for 17 years. In that role, he does fire investigations, fire plan reviews, inspections of existing occupancies, and field inspections of buildings under construction. Previously, he worked in the construction private sector in a wide variety of disciplines.
