Pawel Sowinski is VP of Technical Excellence for Falcon V. Systems. Prior to Falcon, Mr. Sowinski worked as a software architect for the Cisco Chief Technical and Architecture Office where he focused on technologies for the next generation of cable architecture and their adoption by the industry. Mr. Sowinski represented Cisco in various standard committees and technical forums. Mr. Sowinski was a primary author of the CableLabs Remote PHY specifications and contributed to the development of the CableLabs DOCSIS 3.1 specifications. Prior to Cisco, Mr. Sowinski served as an architect at Broadband Access Systems, a startup company acquired by ADC Inc. where he was a principal contributor to the development of the company’s carrier class CMTS. Mr. Sowinski’s 30-year career also includes key engineering positions at networking companies such as CrossComm and Visual Networks. Mr. Sowinski holds a MS in Computer Science and a MS in Electrical Engineering from Technical University of Gdansk, Poland. Mr. Sowinski published several industry papers and authored multiple patents related to core cable technologies and in the general area of data communication.
