Aside from her academic and application work, Cioli’s personal projects revolve around music composition, theoretical physics and mathematics, and visualization of spacecraft trajectories. Cioli intends to obtain at least one doctorate for the purpose of enhancing cross-cultural collaboration on mission creation and design. Her grandfather, Herbert H. Howenstein, also an engineer, lives in Mesa, AZ.
