Siemens Mobility in the U.S.


Marsha Smith is CFO of Siemens Mobility, Inc., headquartered in New York, NY. Marsha started her career in transportation by successfully leading key projects for Siemens’ Mobility Division. In 2004, she was the finance lead for Siemens’ joint venture project to modernize NYC’s subway signaling system and was later instrumental in helping the company win a large signaling modernization project in New Jersey. In 2008, she was asked to head the finance organization for Siemens’ Rail Automation Business Unit in the U.S., during which she led the complex integration of the newly-acquired Invensys business in 2013. She implemented processes and standardizations that have helped unify and strengthen the organization, and her tenure has been accompanied by substantial growth in market share and revenues for the business. Named CFO of Siemens’ mobility business since 2017, she successfully headed the creation of Siemens Mobility Inc. in 2018. Marsha graduated with a bachelor’s degree in finance from McGill University, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Georgia State University. She lives in New York with her family.
