Scott M Davis has twenty years of experience in telecommunications, with roles that have included technology leadership, standards development, staff mentoring, software development, and ASIC design. Scott spent several years in Vecima Networks (previously VCOM and Wavecom) starting as a firmware developer, moving eventually to the Director of Technology Strategy. He joined Time Warner Cable in 2009 as a subject matter expert in MPEG focusing on video transport in IP and QAM delivery. Scott received his BSc (Computer Science 1999) and MSc (Computer Science 2006) from the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon SK. He is currently Principal Architect for Content Operations at Time Warner Cable, where he is working on encoding advancements, video architectures, streaming media, and operations improvements.
