Laura Angotti
Trained in chemical engineering and biology at MIT and in civil and environmental engineering at Northeastern University, Laura Angotti has been brewing and studying historical recipes for fermented drinks for more than 25 years, often using her technical expertise to understand historical practices. Her core interest is in mead recipes over 250 years old, and she has brewed more than 100 of these from her 2,000-recipe catalog. To better understand the recipes, her research includes broader topics that provide context. Her goal is to help even the most modern brewer find connection and inspiration in history.
